Not only great value for money, travelling by ferry also gives you complete freedom. You can travel with your own car if you wish to be independent, and it’s a wonderfully relaxed way to start your journey. Just pack up the car, head to the port and jump on the ferry. When you reach the other side you will have everything you need to begin your Channel Islands adventure, and this option is particularly popular with families.

Car hire available...

Alternatively you can board as a foot passenger, and as all of our packages are inclusive of transfers to and from your hotel car hire is not compulsory for your trip. However, if you did want to hire a car whilst on the islands we can cater for all requirements, whether you need a fancy little run around or facilities to accommodate a car seat. It does give you that little bit of added freedom enabling you to head to the beaches, enjoy the world heritage sites and explore the islands at your leisure, so just ask our dedicated Travel Consultants at the time of booking and they will be more than happy to provide you with the options.

You can even take your beloved pets on board with you and there’s no doubt they would love the Channel Islands just as much as you! With acres of green fields and fresh sea air it’s a dog’s haven – they may even fancy a dip in the water!

Crossings to Jersey and Guernsey are operated by Condor Ferries with whom Channel Islands Direct work closely to ensure we can always give you the best offers and prices available to you at the time of booking (even if that means a lower price than the brochure one!) There are up to three sailings per day giving you a variety of choice for departure times, and we can offer you all the options at the time of booking to secure you get the most out of your holiday. Departures are available from Weymouth, Portsmouth or Poole.
