TORTEVAL SCARECROW FESTIVAL
SAT 4 & SUN 5 AUGUST
Starts at Torteval Parish Church, Route de Pleinmont, Torteval
This very popular event takes you through a beautiful area of the south west of Guernsey. Follow the trail and pick your favourite scarecrow, which come in all shapes and sizes, whilst taking in the natural beauty of the area. Refreshments available.
THE SOUTH SHOW
FRI 10 & SAT 11 AUGUST
St Martin's Community Centre, Rue Maze, St Martins
Traditional Show exhibits will be on show: vegetables, flowers, homemade produce etc. Entries will be from anyone living in St Martin's, Forest, St Andrew's and St Peter Port parishes. There are classes for adults and children. Alongside this event, we also run an Arts & Crafts event. There will also be held the South Show Horse event.
THE WEST SHOW
WED 15 & THURS 16 AUGUST
Old L’Eree Aerodrome, La Route de Rocque, St Peters.
Agricultural and horticultural traditions are on show on Guernsey’s west coast, as well as an array of local costume. As well as entertainment within the arena area, there will also be fairground rides, various competition entries to view, music, refreshments and much more for all ages.
FETE D’ETAI / SUMMER FESTIVAL
SUN 19 OR 26 AUGUST (Dates TBC)
Castle Cornet, Castle Emplacement, St Peter Port
Family Fun with a historical theme: sword fights, archery, music, plays, crafts and hands on activities
NORTH SHOW AND BATTLE OF FLOWERS
WED 22 & THURS 23 AUGUST
Sausmarez Park, Route de Saumarez, Castel
Lots of family entertainment, including all of the traditional agricultural, horticultural and craft categories. The climax of the event is the “Battle of Flowers”, a classic island event, where locals compete to win the prestigious “Prix D’Honneur” award for the best mobile floral float.

VALE EARTH FAIR
SUN 26 AUGUST
Vale Castle, La Rue du Chateau, Vale
Live music and arts festival with DJ’s, food tent, children’s area, and bar. Ticket prices TBC. Under 12s free. Times: 12:00 noon to 00:00 midnight. All profits to charitable organisations.
