AUTUMN FLORAL GUERNSEY FESTIVAL WEEK

SAT 29 SEPTEMBER – SUN 7 OCTOBER

Experience the end of summer and the start of winter with a programme of walks, talks, lectures and workshops can be enjoyed by expert gardeners and beginners alike. A programme will be available closer to the time.

TENNERFEST

MON 1 OCTOBER – SUN 11 NOVEMBER (dates TBC)  

Menus starting from £10 offer great value for money and gives a buzz to participating restaurants throughout the island.  The six week Tennerfest is always hugely popular and has over 160 participating establishments. Menus are published in the Tennerfest supplement in late September and on the website.

NERINE FESTIVAL

SAT 7 - SAT 21 OCTOBER

Candie Gardens, St Peter Port.

An exhibition of Nerines or "Guernsey Lilies" as they are popularly known. Hundreds  of varieties in a wide range of colours will be on show. The bulbs are from the collection held by the Guernsey branch of the National Council for the Conservation of Plants and Gardens.  Entry free .  A selection of nerines will be on sale.

INTERNATIONAL CHESS FESTIVAL

SUN 21 - SAT 27 OCTOBER

Peninsula Hotel, Les Dicqs, Vale

This popular festival attracts many players of all ages from across Europe. Whilst primarily for amateur players, several Grandmasters and International Masters have previously taken part.  A seven round, FIDE rated, Swiss competition with cash prizes.
