The Brasserie welcomes hotel residents and locals. It is an airy and stylish place for breakfast with a choice of continental or traditional English menus. Dinner at the Brassiere is relaxed and casual offering a daily set menu and an accompanying wine list, which complements dishes perfectly.
The Admiral de Saumarez Bar is full of maritime memorabilia and reclaimed timbers adorned with amusing quotes. With a comprehensive wine list and coffee menu, it is a great place to relax and take in the laid back life of Guernsey. The Admiral offers traditional English pub meals at lunch and dinner.
The Beer Garden is a delightful suntrap and the ideal spot for alfresco dining.

Accommodation
After significant recent investment all of the guest bedrooms have been refurbished with careful attention to detail. All are stylishly furnished and equipped with an LCD digital television, DVD/CD player, iPod station, mini bar, safe, iron & ironing board and guests have free use of the hotel’s DVD library. The new top quality beds boast pocked sprung mattresses and finest cotton linen; the quilts are goose down to ensure maximum comfort and a great nights sleep.
The Duke of Normandie has four room categories: mini, cosy, superior and executive. Mini rooms, of which there are 3, are for the single traveller as they have a single bed, while the 2 cosy rooms feature a double bed. The 4 superior rooms have a larger double bed and the remaining 28 executive rooms each have a 6ft zip link bed (which can be a queen sized double or a twin with 3ft singles).
Some ground floor rooms are available and room service can be enjoyed during reception opening hours.

Our opinion
Originally an 18th century hostelry, the hotel is built around a courtyard. Public areas are spacious and modern while the contemporary Brasserie has an excellent menu.
