Features
The Old Government House Hotel and Spa, more affectionately known for hundreds of years as the OGH, is at the heart of St Peter Port, just up the hill from the main shopping street and barely five minutes walk from the picturesque quayside.
Once inside, you realise that the property is arranged around a gorgeous private garden, with terraces and heated swimming pool. Steeped in history, staying here is a truly unique experience. It still retains the grandeur and elegance of a bygone era, with the traditional levels of personal service to match, and yet it has been sympathetically and lovingly restored to encompass those modern facilities that you would expect in a luxury hotel.
Whether you want to visit the numerous beaches, wander around the harbour and take a boat trip, or just stroll the quaint streets, nowhere is better situated than the OGH as the one time official residence of the Governor it was very much at the heart of everything that went on in the island.
62 guest rooms.
The Brasserie is set in a spacious and sunny conservatory overlooking the peaceful private gardens. It provides a lovely light and informal environment for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The cuisine more than does justice to the surroundings, with a seasonal menu that features many classic French dishes and makes excellent use of the Islands fresh catches from the surrounding seas. Simply sit down and relax, allowing Chef and his team to crate a special 7-course gourmet menu for you, accompanied by carefully selected wines by the sommelier.
For many years guests and locals have visited the OGH for their famous Afternoon Tea, which can be enjoyed in the Sir John Coward Lounge, or outdoors in The Olive Grove and gardens. There is a choice of traditional afternoon tea, or champagne afternoon tea for those looking to indulge or celebrate!
