Island Hopping in the Channel Islands
Discover the unique charm of Guernsey's sister islands Herm, Sark, Alderney, and Lihou. With less than one hour travel time between any of the islands, the Bailiwick is the perfect destination for an island holiday from the UK.
The smallest of the islands, Herm provides a perfect secluded getaway. Just a 20-minute ferry ride from Guernsey and boasting stunning coastal views, Herm's spectacular beaches could easily be mistaken for the Caribbean.
Take a step back in time and enjoy the stunning scenery of beautiful Sark. It is free from cars and vehicles, so mode of transport around the island is a choice between cycling or a horse-drawn carriage. The island is the first in the world to achieve Dark Sky Status and, on a clear night, the sky becomes a magical ceiling for twinkling stars.
The most northern of the Channel Islands, Alderney is home to some magnificent landscapes. The island is a paradise for nature lovers with Puffins, Gannets, rare butterflies and blonde hedgehogs that have migrated there.
The beautiful island of Lihou is home to a ruined priory, perfect for exploring. The island can be reached at low tide by a curved cobbled path. Lihou is a great place for birdwatchers to get their fix - look out for more than 150 species.
