Day 1 | UK > GuernseyFly to Guernsey and make your own way to the 3* La Villette, your home for the week (return transfers can be pre-booked if you'd prefer). This grand Georgian house sits in beautiful landscaped gardens in the parish of St Martin, peaceful and secluded yet close to the bays and some breathtaking cliff walks. St Martin's village is nearby and St Peter Port is only fifteen minutes away by bus. With a wealth of leisure facilities and a lovely country setting, it makes a relaxing base. Later, why not head into St Peter Port, where restaurants and informal cafés spill out onto lively squares.

Days 2-7 | GuernseyThe week is yours to spend as you like, with a few highlights already included.

A half day guided island tour, with pick up and drop off from your hotel, is a great way to get your bearings. You'll also enjoy two day trips to Guernsey's neighbouring islands: Herm, with lunch at the Mermaid Tavern, and car-free Sark, with lunch at The Island Hall. Both have unspoilt scenery, beautiful walks and a wonderfully gentle pace of life.

On Guernsey itself, don't miss Candie Gardens and museum and Hauteville House, Victor Hugo's home during his exile. The rather unique Little Chapel is well worth a visit too, and history lovers will find plenty to discover at the German Military Underground Hospital and the German Occupation Museum.

Guernsey is made for exploring on foot, whether along the rugged south coast cliff paths or the Ruettes Tranquilles, a network of quiet country lanes. The long sweeping bays of the west coast are perfect for a lazy afternoon, and you're never far from a beautiful beach. St Peter Port, often called one of Europe's prettiest harbour towns, has cobbled streets full of well-known names, local boutiques and craft shops, along with plenty of restaurants, cafés and bistros serving the best of local food.

Day 8 | Guernsey > UKEnjoy some last minute shopping and sightseeing before heading back to the airport for your journey home.

Prices are per person based on 2 adults sharing and are subject to availability. Prices include accommodation with breakfast, plus travel by air from Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Gatwick, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Southampton. Travel by sea as a foot passenger from Poole is also available, along with other airports and travel by sea with your own car, at a supplement.

The tour is also available at 4* and 5* hotels at a supplement. Car hire is available at a supplement, although the hotel has easy access to bus routes. Transfers to and from the port are not included for the day trips to Herm and Sark.
