Isle of Man Coastal Accommodation

The Isle of Man's coastline is dotted with beaches, fishing ports and quiet bays, and there's a stay to suit however you like to holiday. Below you'll find a range of coastal accommodation, from hotels and guest houses to self-catering properties, so you can pick a base that suits your trip.

On the south coast, Port Erin sits in a beautiful secluded bay with a magnificent sweep of sheltered sandy beach. It's popular with watersport enthusiasts and families, and boat trips to the Calf of Man's nature reserve and bird observatory leave from here too. A short walk round the coast brings you to Port St Mary, a lively harbour village with a coastal trail leading to The Sound.

Peel is a working fishing port on the west coast with centuries of marine heritage and a busy marina. Visit between May and August and you've got a good chance of spotting basking sharks right from the shore. There's also the Viking Longboat races, Carnival and other events happening throughout the year. Accommodations in Peel are coming soon.

Head north and you'll reach Ramsey, the island's second largest town, set against the backdrop of the North Barrule hills. It has a working harbour and plenty of sand and shingle beach to explore. If you fancy something more active, Maughold isn't far away and offers coasteering, kayaking and abseiling along the coastline.

Wherever you end up, the island's continuous coastline is one of the best ways to see it all, with walking routes to suit every age and ability along the Raad Ny Foillain, whatever time of year you visit.
