“La Fregate Hotel, Guernsey is a real gem. Situated on a hill with spectacular views of the harbour, town and castle. Close to Candi Gardens which is beautifully maintained with a small museum, shop and cafe.
We loved our hotel, this being our third visit. Situated, as said, on a hill but has staggered steps leading from the rear hotel garden directly into the town. This takes a few minutes and is so handy. We are in our 70s and managed them well.
Our room was modern, spacious and very clean. The hotel provides excellent dining and lovely breakfasts, which we thoroughly enjoyed the whole stay. They do lunch as well, but we tended to have a cafe snack in town each day for lunch. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the hotel is extremely well managed.
