Day 1 | UK > GuernseyFly to Guernsey and make your own way to the 4* La Barbarie, your home for the first four nights. Once a 16th century priory, it sits in a quiet wooded valley close to one of Guernsey's most beautiful beaches, with easy access to the cliff walks, Saints Bay and the secluded coves of the south coast. Inside you'll find bright, modern interiors with a relaxed country house feel, and an award-winning restaurant with frequently changing menus.
Days 2-4 | GuernseyThree days of independent exploring will give you a real feel for this wonderfully laid-back island. Make the most of the outdoor adventures on offer on land and sea, dig into the island's fascinating heritage, idle on an unspoilt beach and set off along the coastal paths. Fort Grey on Rocquaine Bay, now home to a shipwreck museum, and the gardens at Sausmarez Manor are both well worth a visit. You'll find plenty of places to refuel along the way, from beachside kiosks and local pubs to welcoming cafés and award-winning restaurants. Day 5 | Guernsey > AlderneyHead to the airport for the short flight across to Alderney, a compact island where life is lived in the slow lane. The 4* Braye Beach Hotel sits right on Braye Beach, one of the island's best bays, so the views are quite simply spectacular. There's a choice of places to eat, handpicked wines, a relaxed atmosphere and even a private cinema for a lazy evening, while the light, bright bedrooms have a lovely beachy feel.
Days 6-7 | AlderneyWander the cobbled streets of St Anne, the island's capital, hire a bike to explore further afield or book a boat trip to meet some of the local wildlife. Pop into the Alderney Museum to learn about the island's long history, and take a ride on the Channel Islands' only railway. Leave time for sweeping coastal walks, freshly caught seafood and lazy hours on the golden beaches.
Day 8 | Alderney > Guernsey > UKFly back to Guernsey for your onward journey home. Fancy a few more days? Just ask us about extending your stay on Guernsey.
