Guernsey 3 nights | Herm 2 nights
Day 1 | UK > GuernseyFly to Guernsey and make your own way to the 4* Best Western Hotel De Havelet, your base for the first three nights. Set in a gracious Georgian house, this traditional hotel has an elevated position overlooking St Peter Port harbour, with the town centre an easy walk away.
Days 2-3 | GuernseyWith rugged cliffs in the south, sandy beaches in the north and a lively capital in St Peter Port, Guernsey is a delight. The island's varied history is on show at the German Occupation Museum, the Little Chapel and Hauteville House, Victor Hugo's home in exile. Head to the west coast for Fort Grey, the little 'cup and saucer' fort on Rocquaine Bay that now houses a shipwreck museum. If you'd like to stay active, there's plenty to do on land and sea. Prefer to take things easy? There are shops to browse and waterfront cafés that are perfect for people watching over some tasty local treats.
Day 4 | Guernsey > HermMake your way to the Inter Island Quay for the short ferry crossing to Herm. This tiny, peaceful island welcomes you with white sand beaches, turquoise water and no cars, so it's simply perfect for slow wandering. The 4* White House stands on the harbour front as Herm's only hotel. Bedrooms are in pastel-coloured cottages with no TVs and no clocks, so you can really switch off and enjoy Herm the way it was intended.
Day 5 | HermSpend two or three hours walking the island's full coastal loop, then find a sheltered spot on the pure white sands of Shell Beach or secluded Belvoir Bay. Stop for a drink at the Mermaid Tavern and maybe take a dip in the crystal-clear water.
Day 6 | Herm > Guernsey > UKAll too soon, it's time to take the ferry back to Guernsey. Keep an eye out for dolphins and seabirds as you sail, then head to the airport for your journey home. Fancy a few more days? Just ask us about extending your stay on Guernsey.
Prices are per person based on 2 adults sharing and are subject to availability. Prices include accommodation with breakfast, plus travel by air from Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Gatwick, Manchester and Southampton. Travel by sea as a foot passenger from Poole is also available. Other airports are available at a supplement.
